Paediatric Occupational Therapy
North Coast Kids is a children’s Occupational Therapy (OT) service based in the North Coast of NSW currently servicing areas of Grafton and Coffs Harbour. We are a child-centred and family orientated Sensory Integration service, ensuring we always promote the well being of our clients. Our vision is to provide each child access to early intervention to enable confident, sensory regulated children and supported families.
North Coast Kids OT provides clinic based therapy services currently located in Grafton. Mobile visits are available for assessment, consultation and education (not regular therapy). Our services are available for children from birth to 16 years of age experiencing developmental delays or difficulties impacting their participation in daily activities.
About us
At North Coast Kids our Occupational Therapists specialise in Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) approach to intervention. Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) was developed by A. Jean Ayres, PhD, OTR, FAOTA, an occupational therapist, psychologist and neuroscientist. This framework is shown to be effective for children with learning and behaviour difficulties, and children with autism.
What we do
A Paediatric Occupational Therapist can assist children with their daily occupations and activities, such as, sleep, school, leisure, play and self-care. We can provide assessment and intervention for areas of difficulty that your child may be experiencing. These may include:
- Engagement/interaction
- Attention/listening
- Self-regulation
- Emotional-regulation/Behaviour
- Play
- Fine-motor
- Gross-motor
- Self-care
